Primarily working with Birch Plywood the layered nature of the material gave the perfect canvas to produce 3D contour relief pieces. I have made a few pieces so far based on local landmarks to family members, and can create pieces centered on any location in the UK.

The Blorenge.

The Skyrrid Fawr.
Tiny in comparison to the Sugarloaf and Blorenge, the scale and sheer facade of the northern approach is an obvious challenge compared to the gentler southern acess. — The Skyrrid Fawr. The Malvern Hills.

The ridge line is a striking feature that cam be seen for many miles. When hung near a window this has some dramatic shadowing and really shows the beauty hidden within the formation.

The Fal Valley.

Pen-Y-Fan ridge. The iconic Brecon Beacons peaks. This was done up as a large display piece more relevant to where I now live.

It hangs in a slightly disconcerting manner as the size of the ridge makes it look like it hangs in the air the way a brick doesn't.
